The Balance shampoo bar is handcrafted with gentle surfactants, best suited for those with oily scalps and dry hair. Formulated to clean your scalp while hydrating and moisturizing your hair. Ingredients like kaolin clay and ayurvedic neem powder help maintain a balance between your combination of oily and dry needs. Light mango butter and lemongrass essential oil help your dry hair moisturize your hair.

Each bar is the equivalent of 2 to 3 bottles of product, lasting approximately 60 washes. Vida Bars have an optimal pH balance for healthy hair, making them color-safe. Our bars are handcrafted, which means each is unique and might vary slightly from pictures. Yes, all of our bars are gluten-free. While all of our products are plant-based.

How to Use: Warm up your Vida Bar by running it under warm water and effortlessly lathering in your hands. Apply the bar directly over scalp & wet hair. A little goes a long way. Work the lather thoroughly into your scalp by massaging with fingers. Rinse. For video tutorial click here!
Care: Extend the life of your bars by allowing them to dry between washes, we recommend taking them out of the shower if possible.

Ana straightened her hair for years, like many, the straightener and "smooth & tame" products were part of her hair routine. Eventually, when she took notice that her own daughter started disliking her own curly hair she decided to start embracing her own curls. This sent her on a quest to find products and methods to bring her natural hair back to life. During her research, she discovered that over 550 million plastic bottles of shampoo are used and discarded every year.⁠ They were either filled with harmful chemicals or made from unsustainable materials.⁠ Additionally, Ana also realized finding hair care products for her hair type was a complete challenge.

⁠When Ana couldn't find any products that met her standards she decided to take matters into her own hands and create her own line of hair care products—Vida Bars.

“I created Vida Bars based on the values that govern my own life: living authentically through loving yourself, caring for our planet, and giving back to the community. These core beliefs are at the heart of what we do. We handcraft each bar honored to be part of your selfcare, we take pride in our entire process, from sourcing to packaging, being environmentally friendly. And we’re happy to give back to our community by donating a portion of our profits to an educational fund for survivors of domestic violence, a cause that’s very near to my heart.”

We process all orders within 3 to 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after your order confirmation email is sent. Please note that this timeline does not apply to made-to-order items or pre-orders, which have their own production schedules.
