This top is part of Entretejiendo Voces' Summer Collection, the result of many years of community work in Hueyapan, Puebla. The collection was developed through workshops aimed at enhancing local technical and creative capabilities. The embroidery featured in these garments is traditional to the region, with designs and iconography that are integral to its cultural identity. The knowledge of embroidery techniques and the significance of each design have been passed down through generations, ensuring that the artisans’ heritage is preserved in every stitch.

All wool fabrics and threads are dyed with natural dyes, using methods also handed down through generations. These dyes produce solid, long-lasting colors that are highly resistant. Since 2015, Entretejiendo Voces has collaborated with the Sitaltsin Cooperative, conducting innovation workshops where participants learn and share the processes of design, assembly, and craftsmanship. With the guidance of Master Weaver Claudio Marcos, the collective produces cotton textiles on pedal looms. The talented team, including Beatriz Bello, Paula Martínez, Victoria Marcos, Francisca Martínez, Evarista Lozada, Julia Monterde, Juana Silveria, and Lila Ceballos, contributes their expertise and creativity to every piece.

The artisans embroider visions born in dreams, dye fabrics using colors from flowers and leaves, and rely on collective resilience to make life more meaningful. Each piece represents a fusion of cultures and knowledge, crafted from recycled cotton, Mexican wool, and natural dyes, all woven and embroidered by hand. Every item is proudly made in Mexico, reflecting the collective’s dedication to social and environmental well-being.
